Deborah Cholewicki—Gallery Manager & Studio Artist

I have always been drawn to the beauty
and boldness of nature – it’s vibrant and rich colors, it’s textures and
movement, and it’s transformative powers. Although I started as a potter, I
have always had a passion for free-form sculptural forms, particularly those of
a large scale. I love to incorporate unusual or funky finds into my work and
then add other materials – corkscrew willow, natural vine, infloresence,
hand-spun/hand-dyed art yarns, and copper to name a few. Each one-of-a-kind
piece tells a story and is a reflection of my life’s journey. But mostly, my
work is a celebration of life.
